Volunteers Needed For Church Gate Collection 17th/18th February
The annual church gate collection for our branch takes place in Sligo town and surrounds on Saturday February 17th and Sunday February 18th. We have permits to collect at the following churches in Sligo Town.Cathedral – Sat 7.30 pm, Sun 8.30 am, 10.30 am, 12 noon, 7.00 pmFriary – Sat 7.30 pm, Sun 9.30 am, 11.00 am, 12.15 pmSt. Josephs – Sat 7.30 pm, Sun 11.00 am, 12.30 pm, 7.00 pmFundraising from the annual church gate collection and from our flag days has enabled us to buy musical instruments to extend our instrument bank. Over the years we have purchased harps, concertinas, accordions, flutes, fiddles and pipes which are lent at a nominal rent to children attending our classes. We have also purchased costumes for bands and grúpaí ceoil.
