Launch of Fred Finn CCÉ history and gala concert at Hawk's Well

Thanks to all who organised and participated in the 30 year celebration concert at the Hawk's Well theatre in Sligo recently. An added thanks to those who arranged the book launch beforehand which featured the launch of the history of the branch, written and compiled by our own Séamus McCormack, a founding member of Fred Finn CCÉ and still going strong all those years later.Comhghairdeachas leat a Shéamuis, the book is a great record of the years past, brings the history of the branch right up to date (including events and branch achievements in 2017, Fleadh Cheryl na Éireann results among them) and it is sure to secure the legacy of the work of many people past and present who have worked tirelessly for the promotion of our traditional music, song, dance and the Irish language.A short video of the book launch is being prepared and will be shared on social media shortly, as will more photos from the launch and the concert which followed.
