Comhaltas Seisiún Music Show in Sligo town on Thursday evenings, featuring the finest young traditional musicians, dancers & singers from Fred Finn CCÉ. The venue is the Yeat’s Building, Sligo Town on Thursdays during July and August at 7:30pm starting Thur July 13th.

Comhaltas Seisiún provides a unique traditional entertainment experience at over 50 venues throughout Ireland during July and August. It is a staged show of Irish music, song, dance and storytelling followed by an informal session with audience participation where all who wish to ‘take to the floor’. Seisiún boasts the longest running Summer shows of its kind entertaining visitors from abroad and local audiences of all ages.

The show, which starts at 7.30pm, is structured into formal and informal parts. The formal part allows the audience to experience all aspects of the traditional entertainment, including music on the various traditional instruments, step-dancing, and singing.

This second part of the show allows the audience to participate in some of the local dances, as basic tuition is given in the simpler céilí dances (Siege of Ennis, Walls of Limerick etc.).The informal part can often be the highlight of the night for visitors.

Admission is €10.00 and children are free. Tickets are available at the door each night.
